Revolutionizing oncology care : The moveUP-Amgen Collaboration

October 25, 2023

In the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare, innovative solutions are the driving force behind redefining patient care, making it more accessible, personalized, and effective. At MoveUP, we are proud to be at the forefront of this movement, working in collaboration with Amgen, a leading biotechnology company, to reshape oncology care. Together, we developed a specialized application designed to support cancer patients on their journey.

In this blog, we'd like to share our perspective on the MoveUP-Amgen collaboration, the oncology patient application we have developed, and the transformative impact it brings to the lives of hematology patients.

The Oncology Patient Application

Our partnership with Amgen continues to bring about significant improvements in the lives of oncology and hematology patients:

"We started in 2019 when during an advisory board with different specialists in the field of multiple myeloma, we saw that there was a gap in the rehabilitation of patients after stem cell transplant. So during stem cell transplant, patients are in isolation for a long time, and afterward, they are somehow considered cured at that moment but still need physical revalidation. Nowadays, they have that possibility in the hospital or in rehabilitation centers linked to the hospital. But after this long isolation, a lot of patients don't really feel like coming to the hospital multiple times a week. Ideally, they would do the rehabilitation at their home or with a local physiotherapist. But then they don't have the knowledge of multiple myeloma because it's relatively rare. So we were looking for a solution."

  1. Enhanced quality of care: By providing oncology and hematology patients with our user-friendly tool, we ensure they receive personalized, high-quality care. Our application empowers patients to actively engage in their healthcare, leading to better treatment outcomes.
  2. Empowerment and education: The educational resources within our application empower patients to make informed decisions about their treatment and well-being, equipping them with valuable knowledge in their battle against MM and hematological disorders.
  3. Streamlined communication: Our application establishes a direct line of communication between patients with MM and hematological disorders and their healthcare providers, promoting transparency and quick responses to concerns and questions.
  4. Personalized Treatment Plans: Recognizing the complexities of oncology treatment, our application empowers patients and healthcare providers to create and manage personalized treatment plans, enhancing adherence and optimizing outcomes.
  5. Symptom Management: We acknowledge that cancer treatment can bring about a variety of physical and emotional symptoms. Our app enables patients to monitor and manage these symptoms, offering guidance on when to seek medical attention and when self-care is appropriate.
  6. Educational Resources: Our application provides patients access to information on their condition, treatment options, and strategies for coping with the emotional challenges of a cancer diagnosis

Our ongoing collaboration with Amgen is a significant stride forward in our collective effort to elevate care for patients with MM and hematological disorders. By combining the strengths of MoveUP's digital health expertise with Amgen's profound knowledge in biotechnology, oncology, and hematology, we continue to redefine the patient experience for those battling MM and other hematological conditions.

Conclusion

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
